IN THE SEWING ROOM

I was part of the costume construction process in some capacity for all the media shown on this page. The variety of hands on positions I sought out before film certainly gave me the breadth of experience to succeed in these environments.

PROBLEM SOLVING IS MY FAVOURITE CREATIVE OUTLET

LEAD HAND Under designer Luis Sequeira, I attended most cast fittings, oversaw supply and labour requests, as well as performing most alterations and costume builds and ensuring quality and accuracy of and sewing done by other team members.

WORKROOM COORDINATOR Under designer Luis Sequeira, I helped the design team ensure the costumes were able to be produced on time through workflow, labour and supply management.

CUTTER Under designer Gersha Phillips with an extensive library of period clothes and archival photographs, I drafted patterns for many of the costumes including Huey’s iconic prison uniform replicated from footage of his historic release day.

STITCHER Under designer Gersha Phillips, I worked on both seasons three and four of Star Trek Discovery. Uniforms got easier this season but the secondary characters got more complex, relying especially on the technicians who had worked on previous seasons to make the future come to life in the present.

STITCHER Under designer Luis Sequeira I was a stitcher primarily constructing costumes for Mara Rooney and Bradley Cooper. I also helped prepare material and cut out patterns drafted by my cutter, Carla Mingiardi when necessary.

CUTTER/ STITCHER Under designer Gersha Phillips, I worked on both seasons three and four of Star Trek Discovery, working primarily as a stitcher but taking on cutting as necessary, most notably to help with the volume of costumes needed for the Mirror Universe, season 3, episodes 9 and 10.
